I Hope

“I hope you have the courage to sit face to face with your demons, to be friends with them, to look them in the eyes without being afraid.

I hope you have the courage to stop tormenting, anesthetizing or ignoring your internal wounds, I hope you decide to heal them instead.

I hope you have the courage to understand yourself, to discover your deepest and darkest parts, to open your chest wide revealing the most stubborn sides of your soul, the ones for which no one applauds you, and I hope you find the courage to clean them.

I hope you have the courage to forgive yourself for what you had to do to not feel the sadness. Forgiving yourself for how you didn’t fight to defend the person you were becoming.

I hope you have the courage to feed your pain, so as not to disrespect it or sweep it under the rug of distractions or convenience.

I hope you have the courage to try to heal, even when it hurts.”
